About Us

Our Background

Kindness Today Gifted Tomorrow

This is an organization I have been wanting to start for sometime now. This organization would reach to the children and families of those less fortunate. Those who don’t quite celebrate with that gift near the holidays. My goal here is to create something bigger than myself and those I work with day to day. I want to obtain something much bigger than us. I would like to collect donations wether that be clothing, stuffed animals, toys, electronics, money etc. anything to allow for these kids and families to have something to celebrate with near those holidays! I wish to further this even on past the holidays though, I’d like for this to be a place of donation to help families with clothing throughout the year, and the proper wear through the change of weather. Also the gifts can be used on birthdays or just a little something when a family may be going through a harder time, just to implement a little light in their hearts on those dark days.

About Me

My name is Christina I’m 23 years old and live in Dutchess County NY. I have been in the psychology field for sometime now. Through high school I volunteered with Astor Home to collect gifts for ‘adopt a family’ and the schools would bring things in which we would then wrap and bring to Astor Home near Christmas. The light in these kids eyes and the warmth in the families hearts were tremendous. And I’d love to carry on that experience in a much bigger way. I worked with special needs through school, and would always try my hardest to motivate those around me. During and after high school I also volunteered with an organization called CAPE where I was a youth representative on the board. This allowed me to help educate the community on addiction in the youth. Shortly after that I volunteered at Grace Smith House for domestic violence, then I found myself at Lexington Outpatient Rehab where I really seemed to find a passion of mine. After working at the rehab I found a job in child care where I empowered the minds of those much younger than I. A year later and where I still hold a job today is in Child Protective Services in the sexual and physical abuse unit. Sure this job can be taxing but you do what you can for those whom you can reach. And this job has opened my eyes once again to the reality of how little some people really do have. In this realization I would again like to contribute something more to these kids and families around the holidays. And spread just a little extra joy and warmth.

Currently I still In part work with special needs, as for the last two years I have assisted In an evening called A Night To Shine, this evening is about implementing a fun “prom night” for those with special needs ages 16 and up. This is a spectacular event and it really shows how the little things are truly important and create such a nice foundation for love and laughter.

I would be unconditionally appreciative of anyone willing to contribute to this dream of mine. I want to invest in young people’s futures and invest in others tomorrows.
